Look in emails for those statements in red. Virus will be in Yellowish Orange. Comments to the bad person who tried to send me one are in light blue.
Comments by Billy Thomas to the person who tried it. "Nice try whoever you are, you failed :) My antivirus caught it and removed it before any damage was done. "

This virus was discovered last Tuesday, 7-17-01.
It started hitting people
in our area on Thursday night. Once it
infects a PC, it attaches itself to
a personal document created by the user and sends
itself out to any email
address it can find on the pc, not just the address
book.
To protect yourself, you should have an updated
version of an Anti-Virus
software running on your pc. If you have
an Anti-Virus software on your pc
and it didn't detect it, then it has not been
updated recently. Here are a
few web-sites from Anti-Virus software makers:
Norton's 2001 http://www.symantec.com/
McAfee http://www.atomictime.net/antivirus.html
PC Cillin http://www.touchstonesoftware.com/
You should also be able to find Anti-Virus software
at the local department
stores, office supply stores, or electronics
stores in Glasgow & Bowling
Green. A good rule of them is to never
open an email attachment unless you
are 100% sure of what it is and who it's coming
from. It has infected a
lot of people because the email they receive
appears to be from someone
they recognize.
